“The issue was not on the cabinet agenda but was discussed briefly. They (NCP) said they will submit details of expenditure and work done. We need to inform the public,” he said.
The state needs Rs 75,000 crore to complete ongoing projects. Opposition leaders have alleged that the government has spent Rs 70,000 crore on dams in the last 10 years but the total cropped area under cultivation has increased by only 0.1%, from 17.8% to 17.9%.
