Mr Saxobeat fame singer to visit India for the first time, to perform at a three-city tour

Romanian house-pop-dance artiste Alexandra Stan, whose song, ‘Mr saxobeat…’ became a rage a few months ago, will tour India later this month. The performance will be part of Bacardi Like It Live concerts. A while ago, the alcohol brand had brought British songwriter-rapper, Jay Sean to the city who performed in the city in August.

“Alexandra’s song has been a huge hit all over the world. We are happy to bring her for the first time to her Indian audience,” says Arvind Krishnan, director, marketing, Bacardi India.

Alexandra’s performance in Mumbai will be held at Hard Rock Café, Worli, on December 16, from 8 pm onwards. The next day, she will perform at F Bar and Lounger, Delhi, following it with a gig ar Goa’s popular water hole, Tito’s on December 18.

Says Krishnan, “Through our Facebook page, Bacardi Mixxxology, we keep a track of consumers’ likes and preferences and try our best to bring their online likes to our events, thereby creating opportunities for real human connection.” So, at this edition, fans will also get to taste the ‘Mr Saxobeat cocktail’, titled after the hit number.

“Looking at the buzz that this song has generated, we hope to receive a similar response for Alexandra, when she performs in the country,” says Krishnan.

Alexandra hit the international music scene in 2009, with her debut single, ‘Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)..’. ‘Mr saxobeat…’ has reportedly sold more than 2,000,000 copies, since its worldwide release. The up-tempo song, which became an instant hit was from the singer’s debut album, Saxobeats. At present, the song has reached the Top 5 charts of numerous European countries and has also entered the Billboard Hot 100.

Alexandra Stan will perform at Hard Rock Café, Worli, on December 16, from 8 pm onwards.
