As the nation celebrates the gold won by the Indian players, the country's golden voice Kailash Kher gears up to celebrate the spirit of the nation and its people at the CWG's closing ceremony today.
He may not have heard the CWG theme songs composed by other musicians, but Kailash Kher is proud to be performing at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games today.

As the nation celebrates the gold won by the Indian players, the country's golden voice Kailash Kher gears up to celebrate the spirit of the nation and its people.
The singer is really charged about being part of the Commonwealth Games. "It's a great lifetime experience and a moment of pride for me to be part of these wonderful Games," says Kher. "Its like winning an Oscar in your own country," he added.
So what will he be performing? The singer will be singing his own composition for the Commonwealth Games called
Yaaron Jashn Manao
and some more of his popular hit songs. But, ask him about his opinion of the other theme songs for the Games (AR Rahman's
Jiyo Utho
and Palash Sen's
Dilli Meri Jaan
) and he is surprisingly clueless. As he unsurely attempts to hum AR Rahman's composition, he finally declares he's been too busy to listen to anything else.
Of the many performances he has, this is one of the most special ones because the whole nation and billions across the globe will be watching him perform. "Humaari country bahut hi alag se naye avatar mein dikh rahi hai (Our country can now be seen in a whole new avatar)," he had told us earlier.
Well, whether you plan to go for the Games or enjoy the closing ceremony at home, you better not miss this energy-packed performance!
