‘Manmohan Singh shouldn’t fear anyone’

Says disgruntled Euphoria lead singer Palash Sen about PM, writes song to boost latter’s morale. The song talks about Singh’s silent persona and his gloomy expression. A smiling leader of the nation with reassuring words can bring hope to a nation.

Sir, can our leader, our hero call a spade a spade for once. And if nothing else, a smile will bring a nation besieged by scams great cheer," is the message Palash Sen of Euphoria wants to convey to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. "The song talks about Singh’s silent persona and his gloomy expression. A smiling leader of the nation with reassuring words can bring hope to a nation," he adds.



So why has Sen targeted only the PM, who is one of the few Indian politicians with a clean image? "A poet could find one small muse amongst a million options. The PM is my hero but I find his silence and his glum expression irksome. His silence on the rampant corruption and his sad face in all public appearances inspired me. Through this song, I want him to know he shouldn’t fear anyone and we as a nation back him," Sen says. To be released in July, the song is part of Euphoria’s fifth studio album.
