Kanye West and American entrepreneur Damon Dash have been dragged to court by a member of a Latin musical group claiming that the duo have lifted their group's name.
Loisaida, which is a Latin musical duo that's been kicking around NYC since 2008, are now taking West and Dash to court, TMZ.com reported.
Loisaidas, which is a slang term for the Lower East Side, is also the name of a new movie executive produced by the 37-year-old rapper and Damon.
The and Dash recently reunited after their days together at the old Roc-A-Fella Records, and they decided to collaborate on the movie.
Loisaidas singer Michael Medina believed that the movie has tarnished his brand because it promoted murder, violence, and drug sales.
Medina now wants a judge to halt the project and sock them with damages.
