Sonu Nigam makes a point on demonetisation through a new video, Kaagaz

Like all of us, singer Sonu Nigam too has an opinion on demonetisation and he expresses it through a video narration set to music called Kaagaz. Watch it here.

PM Narendra Modi’s move to withdraw high-end currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 has been a talking point for more than a week now ever since the move was initiated on November 9 in a bid to curb the scourge of black money. Some have praised the daring move while others talk about the inconvenience it has caused to the common man.

Singer Sonu Nigam too has an opinion but he has chosen to speak about it in a unique way -- through a video narration.

The descriptor given in the Youtube link says, “Kaagaz, a narration by Sonu Nigam tells us that demonetization might not be an easy step, but the first step towards a better tomorrow.”

In the video, the singer requests fellow countrymen to have patience as the future is bright. He begins by saying how music resides on a piece of paper (the video shows him reading a musical notation), how paper is vital for education, history resides on paper, wealth (Goddess Lakshmi) too resides on it and how paper helps spread the news...
