To understand more about Michael Jackson’s music, composer Tanishk Bagchi interacted with over 300 fans of King of Pop.

Music composer Tanishk Bagchi is leaving no stone unturned to compose music for the Tiger Shroff-Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, which is about an Indian fan of singer Michael Jackson.

“Michael Jackson is a legend and his fan following, even after all these years of his death, remains strong and intact. What I find extremely powerful is that his fan following breaks through all language and communal barriers. Even in India, people follow his music and idolise him,” he says.

Bagchi even reached out to MJ’s fans to get a feel of his music. He wanted the songs to feel real so he went on to do some ground research, which included meeting MJ’s fans and interacting with them. Not only did he try meeting them, but he also got in touch with the fans though social media and spoke to over 300 people in an urge to know what they really loved about MJ and his work.

Tanishk feels interacting with MJ’s fans from across the country was imperative, which helped him to compose the kind of music he wanted. “It was inspirational for me to reach out to his fans, across cities, to understand their expectations from about the rendition of his songs. I connected with people via social media and asked them questions. I even sent out emails to ardent fans and collated all the matter. On basis of what they said (about MJ;s music), I went and wrote the compositions,” Bagchi says.
