It is after actor Bipasha Basu reportedly acted pricey and refused to do an item song in Murder 2, that the Bhatts decided to cast item girl Yana Gupta instead. According to reports, Bipasha initially refused to act in Murder 2 as the story didn’t revolve around her. Then, when Bips was offered an item song in the film, she put forth a set of demands that didn’t go down well with Mukesh Bhatt.

This year, Mallika has already swayed to the tunes of raunchy song — Razia Gundo Mein Phas Gayi — for the upcoming film Thank You. Now, the glam diva is set to show off her moves in another item song, Jalebi Bai, for the forthcoming film, Double Dhamaal. Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, the song has been set in a lavish casino.

After playing a Rajput princess in Veer, Zareen will show her glamourous avatar in an item song for Anees Bazmee’s upcoming film Ready. The song has been choreographed by Raju Khan and Mudassar Khan. “It is a glamourous love song picturised in a Bangkok club. I am looking forward to audience response,” Zareen was quoted as saying.

Caterina Lopez, cousin of pop star Jennifer Lopez, is set to groove to the beats of item number Taan ke seena in forthcoming film Bhindi Bazaar Inc. “I liked doing the item song because I enjoy dancing. But it wasn’t easy learning Bollywood style of dancing, though I find it really attractive, and fun.”

Model-turned-actor Lisa Haydon will be seen seducing actor Sanjay Dutt in the item song Shake it saiyaan, for David Dhawan’s Rascals. Composed by Vishal-Shekhar, the song has been shot across six settings — a bar, brick wall, bike on a rotating platform, swimming pool, jungle and a translucent enclosure. Also, Haydon’s look is based on pop icon Lady Gaga.
