Singh is on a two-day visit to Barmer to review security at the India-Pakistan border. He held a meeting with BSF officials to review the security situation.

Singh reached Munabao check post around 11.35am where he inspected a guard of honour. Munabao is the point where the Thar Express enters India from Pakistan.

Addressing BSF jawans, Singh said ,“India never attacks anyone and we do not intend to occupy others land. Our heritage is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam meaning the whole world is one. We never fire first but in retaliation we never count bullets after pulling the trigger.”

Appreciating the BSF’s role at the border, Singh said that the forces are protecting the country’s borders like the farmers are guarding the fields.
