Industrialist’s son killed after kidnap for gold worth Rs 10 crore

Two of the abductors, including a friend of the victim, were arrested by the police. They had asked for gold worth Rs 10 crore as ransom for releasing the youth.
Victim Aditya Mittal, 25, was the son of industrialist Atul Mittal. Aditya had gone to Orchid Green, a gym in Raja Ka Tal locality, on the morning of August 22 with his friend Rohan Singhal, a builder.
Later, Rohan, his brother Pawan Singhal and friend Arjun Viz took Aditya to Karamyogi Tower on Jalesar road and gave him an injection, rendering him unconscious.
Pawan Singh, a contractor hired by Rohan, was also called to the spot.
Later, Rohan called up Aditya’s uncle Pammi Mittal and asked for Rs 10 crore as ransom in the form of 30kg gold. The family members informed the police and a case was registered against Rohan Singhal, Pawan Singhal and Arjun Viz on August24. However, fearing arrest, the kidnappers killed Aditya. The accused were allegedly friends with the victim and had planned to abduct him two months ago.
“Two of the accused — Rohan Singhal and Pawan Singh — have been arrested and the search is on for others,” said Ashok Kumar, SP (Firozabad), on Friday.
