JAIPUR: After endless speculations and twists, which are even rare to find in whodunit novels, the Jaipur police have finally solved the case of the murder of a four-month-old girl, arrested her mother on Wednesday and disclosed it on Thursday evening. The murder took place on August 26 when the victim, a daughter of an industrialist, was found murdered with her throat slit with a sharp weapon at their house in Shastri Nagar. “It was the traces of blood found from the nails of her mother that ultimately proved to be crucial evidence that incriminated her. During our investigation, we came to know that her mother was unhappy over having a baby girl as she wanted a boy. The couple already has another eight-year-old girl and her parents had tried numerous times to have a boy,” said deputy commissioner of police (north), Anshuman Bhomia. He added that the couple would often consult doctors and private hospitals.
