“The respiratory support is closely watched and adjusted. Lungs decongestion treatment is being continued. All other comprehensive measures including nutrition, supportive therapy and passive physiotherapy are under way,” said the bulletin.
The Apollo Hospital had already declared that her treatment would warrant her stay at the hospital for a longer duration. “A situation like this (absence of CM) cannot be prolonged and there ought to be an arrangement that the ruling party needs to work out,” said Prof Ramu Manivannan of the Madras University.
STALIN VISITS HOSPITAL
DMK legilsative party leader MK Stallin on Saturday visited Apollo Hosptial to check on CM’s health. Accompanied by two senior party colleagues, he met the doctors and finance minister O Panneerselvam and later addressed the media saying that he hoped the chief minister would recover soon and resume work.
“Our wishes on behalf of our party chief Kalaignar for a speedy recovery,” he said.
