NEW DELHI: Former PM Manmohan Singh’s son-in-law, Ashok Kumar Patnaik, is the new chief executive officer of the National Intelligence Grid (Natgrid), which was formed as a data sharing platform to track terror suspects and incidents. Patnaik is a 1983 batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre who was serving as an additional director in Intelligence Bureau. Under Natgrid, data like bank accounts, driving license, mobile number details, travel details will connected to a single platform so that it can be accessed by law enforcement agencies.
