LUCKNOW: A day after Bharatiya Janata Party national president Amit Shah in his Mau rally attacked Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati saying she had turned her party into a money-minting machine, the former UP chief minister hit back saying Shah’s remarks smack of “gross casteist and jealous mindset”.

Mayawati said on Sunday at the meeting of the party office-bearers, “because of BSP, the bahujan samaj has become ‘giver’ from the ‘seeker’ it was”.

At the meeting, she said the NDA government was “losing” its credibility as it was working for capitalists and not for the poor, the Dalits and other deprived sections.
