Desai along with her colleagues thrashed Srikant Londhe using slippers in full public view at Pune-Ahmednagar road near Shirwal, about 100km from Pune.

Desai claimed that the woman was pregnant and Londhe promised to marry her if she chose to abort. However, he failed to keep his word even after the woman obliged, said Desai.

“We have taught him a lesson as he was deceiving two other women with same promises. I had no option but to take the law in my hands as the affected woman had initially gone to police who failed to act,” said Desai.

The video went viral on social media. Many termed the incident as a ‘stunt’.
