LAKHIMPUR KHERI: A 10-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped and murdered in a village close to Lakhimpur in UP on Sunday night. The suspects, who belong to the same village, dumped the body of the class 3 student in an abandoned 40-foot dry well in a mango orchard. The prime suspect, identified as Mohan, was taken into custody on Monday. The victim’s family members claimed Mohan was jailed in a rape case earlier and granted bail a week ago.
