“You reap what you sow,” Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ taunted Khadse in its editorial on Monday.

It pointed out that Khadse had played a key role in breaking ties with Sena before state assembly elections and now he is facing the result of his action.

Sena leaders have been critical of him as it was the heavyweight from North Maharashtra who had conveyed BJP’s decision of snapping ties with Sena ahead of state assembly polls in 2014.

“Khadse always boasted that he was proud as he conveyed the decision to break ties with the Sena. Today he is facing the result of his action. Those who came in the way of Sena were either politically sidelined or arrested ,” said the editorial.

Sena MP Sanjay Raut, also the executive editor of ‘Saamana ’, had earlier said that Khadse should resign from the post owing to the serious allegations .“Sena supreme Balasaheb Thackeray always used to say that a minister should resign from the post until he is proved innocent,” Raut had said.

On Sunday, Sena leader and MLA Gulabrao Patil, came down heavily on Khadse at a rally organised to celebrate his resignation. “Farmers cannot sit in a red-beacon car but have the powers to strip of red-beacon of any. Such an arrogant leader needs to be taught a lesson like this,” Patil said.
