Ashok Kumar named Player of the Year at PGTI awards
Ashok Kumar was named the player of the year at the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) annual awards on Sunday. Ashok topped the order of merit with earnings of Rs 53,94,125 for the season.

On the occasion, Arjun Atwal was awarded honorary lifetime membership of the PGTI.
Six pros were also feted for being first-time winners and they included Sujjan Singh, Chiragh Kumar, Raju Ali Mollah, Vijay Kumar, Shankar Das and Mandeo Singh Pathania.
The promising Abhishek Jha received the emerging player of the year award. Jha won after accumulating the highest earnings among the pros who made their debut this season.
Apollo International school win
Last time winner Apollo International School, Sonepat, defeated S.S. Mota Singh senior secondary model school, Janakpuri, 2-0 and enter the final of the Junior Boys Section. Ankit Mathur scored both the goals for the winning team.
Utkarsh Gupta advances in TT
Delhi's Utkarsh Gupta beat Manas Ghosh of Maharashtra 11-9 11-7 11-5, to advance at the sub-junior boys group of the National Table Tennis Ranking Tournament (north zone) at the Yamuna Sports Complex. In another match, B Arvind of Tamil Nadu beat Lalhunlua of PSPB-A 11-8 7-11 13-12 11-6 to move into the second round. Competition is being held in all age groups. Among men's, competitors have been divided into 12 groups.
