Top junior paddlers made their presence felt on the penultimate day of the Senior National Table Tennis Championship here on Saturday when Soumyajeet Ghosh and Ankita Das made it to the men's and women's singles semifinals.
North Bengal's Soumyajeet dropped just two sets before outplaying Sanil Shetty of PSPB 4-2, while World Jr Championship quarterfinalist Ankita showed no mercy, beating Maharashtra B's Pooja Sahastrabuddhe 4-0.
Ghosh will now take on Sharath Kamal, who had a 4-2 win against Railways' Anirban Nandi, while Ankita will clash with Poulami Ghatak.
