Himmat drops to 9th in Manila

On a very tough scoring day, Himmat Rai dropped down the leader board with a nightmarish five-over 77 and fellow Indian Digvijay Singh lost his rhythm towards the end and were both placed ninth after the third round of the ICTSI Philippine Open here today.

Himmat, the joint leader overnight had two birdies, five bogeys and a double bogey in 77 at one-under 215.

Ponte Vedra, USA: For the second day running Arjun Atwal began well but only to suffer a mid-round lapse before closing better for a two-under 70 that saw him make the cut in the Players Championships Golf at the TPC Sawgrass on US PGA Tour here. At one-under 143 he is tied 47th. David Toms climbed to the top with a four-under 68.
