IOA election decision due today

Faced with a threat from International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Indian Olympic Association's executive board will meet here on Monday to finalise the date of its election and take a few crucial decisions on its conduct and modalities.

The executive committee is also expected to discuss the recent Delhi HC order on the election for IOA as well as Archery Association of India (AAI).

Matoria elected IBF president
Patiala: In a change of guard at the Indian Boxing Federation, Rajasthan MLA Abhishek Matoria was elected president of the body on Sunday while incumbent Abhay Singh Chautala was handed the nominated post of chairman at its Annual General Meeting here.

Left in a fix after the Sports Ministry barred it from making constitutional changes that could have facilitated continuation of the incumbent set of office-bearers, the IBF opted for a change of guard at its AGM.
