Sasikiran played a marathon game for the second day running to beat Hou Yifan to haul himself back into the tournament. Negi, however, lost to higher rated Viktor Laznicka.

In the first game on Saturday, leader Fabiano Caruana drew with Filipino Wesley So in 32 moves. After four rounds, Caruana is the only unbeaten player. He leads the field with 3.5 points, while Laznicka, who bounced back from his third round loss to Sasikiran on Friday, has three points.
