Having made a grand beginning last year in Mumbai, the second edition of the Punj Llyod PSA Masters 2010 returns with a bigger prize-money, featuring the cream of the international squash fraternity.
Ace Squash players Saurav Ghosal and Ritwik Bhattacharya will spearhead the Indian challenge in the country's highest prized money tournament scheduled to be held here from December 12-19.
The men's PSA Platinum Event will offer $192,500, a jump of $40,000 from last year, and feature world's top-32 ranked players.
The $36,500 WISPA Silver Tour Event will have top-16 international women players including India's Joshna Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal.
Besides the main event, a series of promotional squash tournaments for various age groups will also be organised between the months of August and November in an individual and team formats across New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai.
The promotional championships will include 11 separate events. The finalists from each of these tournaments will be invited to the capital in December to participate in the pre-event of the Punj Llyod PSA Masters and WISPA Silver tour event, to receive coaching clinics from some of the leading squash players in the world.
Each of the promotional events will be organised in association with the Squash Racquets Federation of India (SRFI).
