Sharath leads Indian challenge in ITTF Pro Tour

Commonwealth Games gold medallist and reigning national champion A Sharath Kamal will spearhead the Indian challenge at the ITTF Pro Circuit Austrian Open table tennis tournament starting on Wednesday.

Two-time national champion Soumyadeep Roy, who had been dropped from the team for the Asian Championship, returns to the 10-member men's squad.
Former national champion Subhajit Saha, Anirban Nandi, Pathik Mehta and A Amalraj are some of the other top names in the side.
The women's team comprises just three paddlers - Poulomi Ghatak, reigning national champion Mouma das and Kasturi Chakraborty.
The two teams will represent the country at the French Open from October 31 to November 4 at Toulose, just two day after the conclusion of the Austrian Open.
They will then travel to Bremen for the German Open from November 7 to 11.
