Sindhu aims to break into top-10

After winning her first major international title, the Malaysia Grand Prix Gold 2013, P V Sindhu is aiming to break into top 10 by the end of this year. She is currently ranked world number 13.

After winning her first major international title, the Malaysia Grand Prix Gold 2013, PV Sindhu is aiming to break into top 10 by the end of this year. She is currently ranked world number 13. She arrived at the P Gopichand academy to a grand welcome. Sindhu dedicated her Malaysia victory to coach Gopichand, who she says is her role model.

Disappointing start
New Delhi: India shooters began their campaign in the Fort Benning World Cup on a disappointing note, with Gagan Narang finishing 13th in the 10m air rifle. He scored 621.5. Chain Singh, the other Indian in the fray, shot 619.4 to finish 20th. In the women’s 10m air pistol, Heena Sidhu finished 10th (380 pts), while Annu Raj Singh’s was 16th with 379.

Karachi: Pakistan's top seeded player, Aamir Atlas Khan won the Asian Squash individual championship for the first time in 14 years when he beat Kuwait's Abdullah Al Mezayan in straight sets in Islamabad. Pakistan had last won the Asian individual title in 1998.
