12-year-old abducted, rescued in Munger

Anjan Kumar, 12-years-old, was abducted from village Sujwa under Asarganj police station area of Munger district in the afternoon today.

Anjan Kumar, 12-years-old, was abducted from village Sujwa under Asarganj police station area of Munger district on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was standing near Masomganj pond when a criminal from Haveli, Khargapur area pulled him inside a vehicle and fled away.

The boy was rescued late in the evening confirmed Tarapur deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Vidyasagar.

Earlier, Asarganj police station assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Sumra Munda said Dhurwa Yadav, a criminal, had kidnapped the boy to settle scores with a person at the village.

The parents of the boy are daily wage earners and have nothing to do either with the criminal involved in abduction or the person with whom Yadav has enmity, he said.
