Photos | National Gallery of Modern Art reopens amid Covid-19 pandemic, safety measures intact
The National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi is a hub for India's rich cultural heritage. It has on display various contemporary and traditional works of modern art from 1850's onward. The gallery tour takes the visitors through the years, starting on the first floor where visitors can see some of the most intricate paintings of Indian landscapes and with each ascending floor, the visitors are taken towards paintings that give a more current reflection of modern art. The museum houses someone the greats like Rabindranath Tagore and Jehangir Sabalvala. Before the pandemic struck, the gallery organised a special exhibit each month, in the basement of the building. The gallery is currently exhibiting the works of the renowned French artist, Gérard Garouste.
