Asian Games 2018: Amit Panghal in final, women win hockey silver
India added to their medal tally on Day 13 of the Asian Games 2018. India women’s hockey team lost the final to 1-2 to Japan and settled for silver. It was an improvement from 2006 and 2014 when the team got bronze. Amit Panghal reached the final of men’s (49 kg) light fly category and will now Rio Olympics gold medallist Hasanboy Dusmatov of Uzbekistan in the final on Saturday. Sailing India clinched three medals in sailing with Varsha Gautham/Sweta Shervegar clinching silver in the 49er FX Women’s event, Harshita Tomar claiming bronze in the Open Laser 4.7 and Varun Thakkar Ashok/Chengappa Ganapathy Kelapanda too bagged the bronze in the 49er men’s even.
