Mumtaz played a crucial role in Shammi Kapoor's 1968 classic Brahmmachari. Her popular track - Aaj kal tere mere pyar ke charche with Shammi Kapoor is one of the most iconic songs of Hindi cinema. She was also credited for reintroducing the sari in the most glamorous fashion in the song.
