Photos: A mural makeover for Delhi’s Hanuman Mandir flyover

Medeival kings, soldiers and courtiers on elephant back, women playing instruments and large depictions of the god Hanuman are the newest visual additions to the flyover across the Old Hanuman Mandir in Delhi’s Yamuna Bazar. Part of a beautification project for the area, murals depicting these scenes have been painted by artists of the Delhi Street Art group. A layer of anti-carbonation paint has also been applied to help preserve the concrete structure and the artwork on it from pollution.
