Photos: India reports around 1000 daily Covid-19 deaths

On September 15, India’s Covid-19 death toll reached 80,776.The last three weeks, India, on average, has been reporting at least 1,000 new deaths due to Covid-19. However, India’s Case Fatality Rate (CFR) is nearly half of the global rate at 1.64%. Maharashtra is the worst hit state in India followed by Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The states have now been asked to focus on districts that are reporting high case fatality rate, and to refine as well as strengthen their approach and strategies to contain the virus.
