Photos: Parliament’s monsoon session begins amid pandemic
Owing to the coronavirus outbreak, the Parliament observed a first of its kind of monsoon session. The members attending the session wore face-masks, practiced social distancing measures, mandatory coronavirus testing as well as a reduced occupancy during the proceedings. However, the removal of question hour on day one of the session remained the most unprecedented change and a matter of discontent amongst the opposition members. The Parliament session is being held in two shifts - with members of both Houses spread across the two chambers and galleries to adhere to social distancing norms. 24 Lok Sabha members tested positive for Covid-19 on first day of the session.
