Krishna Janmashtami, a prominent Hindu festival celebrated to observe the birthday of Lord Krishna, is being observed on Thursday and Friday . As per the mythology, "Lord of the Earth" and an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Krishna, whose birth was hidden by his uncle Kansa, escaped the tyrannical execution, unlike his newborn siblings and enjoyed relatively normal development under the care of his foster mother Yashoda.
