When we are brought up in dysfunctional homes, we try to become the peacemaker of the house and the one who fixes problems. This further makes it difficult for us to receive affection when it comes our way. "If you’re someone who has traditionally adopted the role of caretaker, giver and support person in your relationships, there’s a good chance that receiving is something you struggle with.
