- India is celebrating the 132nd birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru today, November 14. Fondly called 'Chacha Nehru' by children, he was known for giving abundant love and affection to children which is why on his birth anniversary the entire country celebrates Children's Day.

Children's Day was celebrated on November 20 till 1959. After the death of Jawaharlal Nehru, it was unanimously decided to celebrate it on November 14.
