In a healthy relationship, the space to communicate forms one of the building blocks. Having healthy and secure communication enables stronger bonding and understanding. "It allows you to convey your thoughts, feelings, and needs clearly, reducing the chances of misunderstanding and conflict. Effective communication created understanding and empathy, building trust and intimacy. It enables productive problem-solving and decision-making," wrote therapist Israa Nasir as she explained the importance of healthy communication in a relationship.
