Photos: India administers 100mn vaccine doses; Maharashtra leads with 10mn doses
On April 10, India became the third country in the world to administer 100 million doses of vaccine against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19). India reached the milestone in 85 days and is the fastest to do so ahead of the United States (89 days) and China (103 days). Meanwhile, Maharashtra became the first state in India to administer more than 10 million coronavirus vaccine doses. This comes as the state is in the middle in a row with the Centre over claims of a vaccine shortage. India’s current Covid-19 tally stands at 12,01,009 active cases with 1,70,179 deaths and 1,21,56,529 recoveries.
