PM Modi welcomes Egyptian president Sisi ahead of Republic Day| Pics

Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will be the chief guest at the 74th Republic Day celebrations on Thursday. Sisi, who is on a three-day visit to India, received a ceremonial reception by President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the national capital. Later, Sisi and PM Modi held talks aimed at revitalising bilateral relations with security and economic cooperation as key pillars. PM Modi and the Egyptian president held a joint media interaction. The prime minister said both India and Egypt view terrorism as the most serious security threat to humanity and had agreed that concrete measures are required to end cross-border terrorism.
