As water flowed into the station, passengers inside the train  kneeled on their seats. In the Harlem district of New York, authorities confirmed to NewsNation station WPIX that at least one person required hospitalization for storm-related injuries. ( via REUTERS)

Water marks appear on a car as a result of heavy flooding in the Elmsford area of Westchester, New York. After hundreds of workers spent the night restoring operations, Janno Lieber, the chair and CEO of the Metropolitan Transit Authority, told ABC 7 in New York that complete subway service, as well as full Long Island Railroad and Metro North commuter rail service, was now available.  (REUTERS)

According to FlightAware statistics, dozens of flights were called off or delayed at local airports on Tuesday, with Newark Liberty Airport seeing 159 cancellations in all.  (AP)
