The last match of the 2023 Asia Cup Super 4 stage may have been a dead rubber but it came down to the last two balls of the match. Bangladesh were clinical with the ball and in the field and defended a target of 266, beating India by six runs.  (AFP)

Shakib scored 80 runs in 85 balls while Hridoy made 54 in 81. Bangladesh's lower order also contributed runs and they managed to end with a strong total of 265/8.  (AP)

Axar Patel then gave India hope with a late surge. He scored 42 in 34 balls but was dismissed off fourth ball in the second last over. While Mohammed Shami hit a four in the last over, he was run out off the fifth ball and that sealed the deal for Bangladesh.  (AFP)
