23-year-old Pune techie found dead at Mulshi residence
The reason behind the drastic step could not be ascertained. The deceased woman did not leave a suicide note.
A 23-year-old employee of an information technology (IT) company was found dead in her apartment in Mulshi on Monday. The deceased, identified as Pooja Nagnath Waghmare, lived in a rented flat with two other girls in Marunji area of Mulshi.
She worked in a company in Mulshi and was alone in the house when she allegedly hung herself with a dupatta (piece of clothing) on Monday. When her roommate returned from work on Monday night, at around 10 pm, Waghmare did not answer the door even after repeated attempts. The roommate managed to break the door to find Waghmare hanging by the ceiling.
Waghmare was rushed to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial (YCM) hospital in Pimpri and was declared dead on arrival at 1:35 am.
The reason behind Waghmare's drastic step could not be ascertained. She did not leave a suicide note. Her death was recorded as accidental at Hinjewadi police station.
