Man kills wife, then hangs self from a tree in Loni Kalbhor

The couple were fighting over domestic issues and had been living apart for some time. Only recently, Kisan had started living with Suvarna and the children - two girls and a boy -again. However, issues between the two only aggravated.

In the early hours of Wednesday, a man killed his wife before hanging himself to death from a tree in the Loni Kalbhor area. The deceased woman was identified as 30-year-old Suvarna Kisan Kamble, while the man has been identified as 35-year-old Kisan Rama Kamble, according to the police.

Police reached the spot in the morning and sent the recovered bodies for post-mortem to a local hospital. A case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at the Loni Kalbhor police station.

The entire series of events took place between 10 pm on Tuesday and 5.30 am on Wednesday at the Sanjay Gaikwad chawl in Malimala,Loni Kalbhor.

While Kisan worked as a driver, Suvarna worked as domestic help. Kisan struck Suvarna on her head with a wooden column while she was asleep and used her sari to hang himself, police said.

The complaint was filed by the deceased woman’s 55-year-old father who works as a labourer and lives in Kawdipat Malwadi region of Haveli taluka. Police inspector BA Kondubhairi of Lonikandh police station is investigating the matter.
