National under-16 tennis tournament: Krishan Hooda hotfoots it to round two

Top-seed Krishan Hooda scripted a comfortable 6-3, 6-0 win over Harsha Kumar to move into the second round of boys’ singles event at the Ravine Hotel National Series under-16 Tennis tournament, organised by Ravine Hotel Panchgani, at their tennis courts on Tuesday.

In other matches, Sameeksha Shroff edged out Shreya Naik 7-6(5), 4-6, 6-4 while Pune player Saniya Singh went down to Harshita Bangera 1-6, 1-6.

Tata Open Maharashtra tickets available

Tata Open Maharashtra organisers, on Tuesday, announced the prices for tickets for the inaugural edition of the ATP 250 World Tour event to be held from December 30, 2017 to January 6, 2018. Spectators who wish to witness world-class tennis action at the Mhalunge Balewadi Stadium, Pune, will have to pay a minimum of Rs 150 for a ticket.

Tickets will be available at the Balewadi Sports Complex and on Kyazoonga.com, the tournament’s official ticketing partner. Rs 150 will give spectators a seat in A and E stands while G stand is priced at Rs 245. F stand will come at Rs 500.
