A real estate agent was found murdered with his head smashed in the early hours of Sunday. The deceased man was identified as Ganesh Anantaram Gangane, 40, a resident of BU Bhandari Skyline in Dattanagar, Dighi.

The incident took place at around 1.15 am near the Dutta temple near the house of the deceased, according to Dighi police officials.
A case under Sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at Dighi police station against multiple people based on the complaint. The complaint was filed by the deceased man's brother Suresh Gangane, a 45-year-old businessman who lives in Indrayninagar of Bhosari, according to police.
Gangane’s body was sent to Sassoon General Hospital for post-mortem by the Dighi police on Sunday morning.
The case was filed against Arvind Vanjari, Tushar, Pramod Shelar, Nilesh Kudale and few others, according to Dighi police. While Vanjari and Shelar are residents of Dighi, Kudale is a resident of Charholi, said police. The police are looking for the complete name and address of the second person identified only as Tushar.
The investigation officer in the case is assistant police inspector (API) Mahendra Kadam of Dighi police station who is on a lookout for the people named in the case.
The deceased man sustained injuries caused by a lethal weapon on his head and right ear, according to the complaint in the case.
