Sangli police book DSK, sons for defrauding investor of Rs 9 lakh

An offence against DSK, and his sons Hemant and Shirish, was registered at the Sangli police station by an investor identified as Kiran Anant Kulkarni (65), a resident of Vishrambaug in Sangli.

The Sangli police have booked jailed real estate developer DS Kulkarni, also known as DSK, and his two sons on charges of defrauding an investor to the tune of Rs 9 lakh. An offence against DSK, and his sons Hemant and Shirish, was registered at the Sangli police station by an investor identified as Kiran Anant Kulkarni (65), a resident of Vishrambaug in Sangli.

Kiran in his first information report (FIR) stated that he had invested different sums as an investment in the DSK group of companies with a total investment amounting to Rs 9 lakh. The complainant had paid the money from September 6, 2014 to October 13, 2015. The Sangli police station officials said that an offence related to cheating has been lodged against the Kulkarnis.

DSK and his two sons did not return the invested amount nor paid the requisite interest on the amount following which the aggrieved investor lodged a complaint against DSK and his sons, a police official said.
