Six software engineers were arrested, in the early hours of Sunday, from amanora victory tower in Hadapsar for getting into a fight with the policemen responding to a call from the neighbours about loud music and disturbance. The engineers were remanded to judicial custody by a local court. However, they were bailed out within hours.

They were all under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred, according to the police. The six engineers were identified as Abhishake Vinkumar Jemini, 24; Chandan Deepal Bhandari, 24; Utkarsh Mahavir Sharma, 24; Rohit Hiralal Vangnu, 30, all residents of amanora victory tower in Hadapsar and Amandeep Sunilkumar Sharma, 27, a resident of nisarg city in Wakad.

The six were gathered at Vangnu’s house in building number 201, amanora victory tower, when the neighbours complained of noise. “The security guard of the building had already tried to talk to them. When they did not listen, the neighbours called the police control room,” said KS Londhe, assistant police inspector (API) of Hadapsar police station.

They got into a drunken argument with the police and pushed the four policemen, according to the complaint lodged by HM Dudhbhate, constable of Hadapsar police station who had gone to the spot along with two beat marshals and API MK Aadling.

Jemini, Bhandari, Amandeep and Utkarsh Sharma are residents of a flat in building number 202 in the township. The six men are natives of Delhi and Punjab and work in various companies in the city. Of the six men, the wives of two men were also in the house when the incident happened.
