A 10-year-old boy has been allegedly sodomised at Cheema Mandi in Sangrur district on Monday morning. The boy had come along with his parents to attend marriage of maternal uncle's daughter.

Investigation officer Rajwant Singh said as per complaint of Umesh Kumar, a resident of GangaNagar in Rajasthan, the incident happened around 12:30am at local Veer Kalan palace.
Singh said complainant alleged that accused Satish Kumar, who came from bridegroom's side, allegedly kidnapped his son and took him to adjacent fields, where he did unnatural sex with his son.
"The incident came to fore when victim raised hue and cry following which his parents and other relatives found profusely bleeding in the fields", he said.
The victim was rushed to local hospital where his condition is stated to be normal.
The accused Satish managed to flee from the spot.
The police have registered case under various sections 363 (kidnapping), 377 (Unnatural offences.-- Whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature) of IPC and also booked accused under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
