15-year-old gangraped in Hoshiarpur

A 15-year-old girl was gangraped by six persons at Rahgwal village here. The accused, had abducted the girl from her house on Monday night. Of the six accused, only three — including girl’s neighbor Kuldeep Singh, Kuljeet Singh and Santokh Singh — have been identified.

Of the six accused, only three — including girl’s neighbor Kuldeep Singh, Kuljeet Singh and Santokh Singh — have been identified.

Sources said the victim, a Class-10 student, was sleeping in her house along with other family members.

Around 10, she went to the washroom and was abducted by Kuldeep Singh and others.

The victim said Kuldeep forcibly took her to an isolated maize field on his bike. The girl was then raped by Kuldeep and his associates.
Later, the accused dropped the girl at a school near her house.

The girl narrated the incident to her family. She also alleged that two weeks ago, Kuldeep had sexually assaulted her and then threatened her of dire consequences.

“I was scared and didn’t reveal anything to my parents at that time,” said the girl.

The accused have been booked.
