2,456 appear for vet varsity’s CET

Guru Angad Dev and Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission in bachelor of veterinary science and animal husbandry, bachelor of fisheries science and bachelor in dairy technology programmes, here on Thursday.

“A total of 2,710 candidates had applied for the admission, out of which, 2,456 candidates appeared for the test, which included 1,526 boys and 930 girls. A total of three centres were created in different city schools,” said a university official.

“The exam was conducted fairly and smoothly and all students seem to have given their best,” said Sushil Prabharkar, controller of examinations. Vice-chancellor VK Taneja also visited all examination centres to check the arrangements and wished them good luck for the results. According to the registrar PD Juyal, the results will be declared in the next two days and will be updated on the university website.

The first counselling will be held on July 22 and 23 in the Silver Jubilee Auditorium of the university and only 62 students who will attain the merit will be selected for the various programmes.
