The crime branch of Chandigarh Police raided two hookah bars in Sector 26 following reports of minors were being served nicotine.

The team collected four samples from Kasbah Lounge and Cafeena-26. The officials also checked identity cards of youths sitting the hookah bars to check their age.

Deputy superintendent of police (DSP crime) Jagbir Singh said samples would be sent to the Central Forensic Scientific Laboratory (CFSL), Sector 36. He said they had already conducted three raids and were waiting for reports. Action will be taken against hookah bars if the nicotine content being served to youths is beyond the prescribed limit, he added.
